Welcome to the Killitank

When I started the hobby of these wonderful fish I found it quite hard to find useful and "easy to read" information about killies. I spent a lot of time visiting hundreds of pages - some very good but many quite difficult to find and many quite technical and difficult to understand for a beginner. I promised myself that when I had some experience I would build a basic page that could might help others to get started with this nice hobby. My first problem was to find enough info to dare starting this new hobby. Secondly to find the eggs and fish. Fortunately Killies are getting more and more common in the stores and on pages like eBay. But I will always recommend you to find your local association and join it. Here you find find the real treasures of both fish and knowledge.

I see the hobby as a very nice relaxing bulb that helps me stress off from a hectic work. Furthermore I like the idea of helping other "soul mates" to get the info and species they need or seek - all in the interest of keeping clean strains and make endangered species survive - at least in the aquaristic world.
Thank you for visiting my non commercial site - I hope that you will get a little benefit from the information pages.. In any case - be careful with the killi hobby - it's a legal but dependence-producing drug.

Unfortunately I have had to pause my killi-hobby for a while because of lack of spare time. Although my page is far from done, I have decided to keep it online. At least some of the info is still useful for eventual beginners. If you have any questiones I would be happy to reply you on email. Last update 03/01 '07
